The high standard of West Peak milk powders and proteins, milk concentrates, milk fats, cheeses and ice creams is due to the quality of our farmer suppliers’ milk – combined with modern processing technology and highly trained operators to ensure the consistency and reliability of our products.
West Peak operates eight powder dryers, two cheese plants, butter, ice cream and FMC plants spread across New Zealand’s preeminent dairying regions, with a capacity each year to produce of over 350,000 tonnes of powdered milk products, 45,000 tonnes of cheese and 20,000 tonnes of butter.
Milk Powder
Our milk powders are made from high quality raw milk, which has been standardised, pasteurised, evaporated and spray dried for consistency. We specialise in the manufacture of different types of milk powders for superior performance in various applications. Our instant whole milk powders are known for their rich and creamy flavour profile and superior functionality for use in consumer products without the need for further processing.
Milk Protein
West Peak milk protein is made from the finest quality whey concentrate. It is manufactured under the highest global standards of hygiene and food safety and provides a superior source of protein fortification for nutritional products. The significant amounts of calcium and other minerals are added advantages when fortifying food products.
Our Products
Milk Concentrate
West Peak Milk Concentrate is made from high-quality, fresh New Zealand cow’s milk, which is known for its superior taste and nutritional profile.
It is processed by concentrating standardised and pasteurised cow’s milk using cold membrane technology and evaporation to achieve the desired concentration of 55% milk solids.
